My Dear Family,                                                                                       Easter 2008

Yes you are my family, my sisters and brothers in Christ.  In this Holy Season we celebrate the gift of salvation as Jesus dies and rises for each of us.  We are family to Jesus, therefore family to one another.

I wish you all the special blessings of Easter and offer a prayer for you to be able to rejoice in the Lord, Always.

This is the time of year when new life begins to appear in the blooming of spring to remind us of the new life Jesus gives us through His Resurrection.  What new joys are you willing to let Jesus bring you?  See the joy in your family and friends, in your own gifts and talents, and in your family of Church.

As a faith community, we are truly in the midst of blessings.  So many of you do so much to make St. Irene’s a place of spiritual home.  Keep up the great job and with love say yes to all God calls you to be.

Your generosity of treasure has also been a gift to all of us.  We move closer to being debt free in our campaign, “Celebrate Our Future”.  Celebrate we will do on that happy day as we begin to dream with God for our future.  I ask your continued generosity in your Easter offering.  This collection is used to provide for the day to day operations and supports all the necessary ministries of our parish.   Your gift at Easter is your gift to your family in God.  I am sure God and all His family will bless you for your gift.

Let the forty days of Easter be your foundation for lasting joy, now and forever.  Know that as I stand at God’s alter the Easter, I stand for and with all of you.  Bring family, friends, and neighbors to Easter Mass with you, all are welcome.  Happy Easter!

Alleluia!
