As you may know, we at St. Irene, have been talking about doing some long range planning and visioning. The time has finally come! Nearly 300 St. Irene families recently participated in an information-gathering effort including Vision Sessions, Interviews and a Parish Wide Survey. We offer a special thank you to those who took time to participate in this important initiative. The findings of this work are posted here for your review. You may view the entire 50-page report (see below) which summarizes the work, including questions and answers, specific parishioner comments and appendices. The 10-page Executive Summary (see below) is also available.
St. Irene parishioners have indicated that the first priority of the parish should be to address the debt. We are overjoyed to announce that the Diocese has generously offered St. Irene a “dollar for dollar” matching opportunity. This means that for every dollar contributed by a parishioner, they will forgive a dollar of debt. The offer was made to us with the full expectation that if we enter into a campaign for debt reduction, St. Irene will be debt free at the end of the campaign. This is an amazing and generous opportunity. We expect during the month of July to finalize our discussions with the Diocese.

As we enter into the next stage of our Capital Campaign, “Celebrate Our Future” , we should be reminded of a quote from Williams James “The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.” Our “Celebrate Our Future“ campaign is for just this purpose.
