Be Formed: The Creed
This season will run from September 12-December 10 and be facilitated by Bob Heipp. It will include weekly videos on The Creed - Part 1: The Father using the Catechism of the Catholic Church. You are invited to follow along with us this season, utilizing our workbook download. Journal along each week reflecting on God's presence in your life. For questions, contact Bob on 331-266-4422.

First Friday Holy Hour
On the evening before his Passion and Death, Jesus asked his sleepy apostles to pray quietly with him in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?” On November 7 at 7:00pm, we will celebrate our First Friday Holy Hour with Exposition of the Holy Eucharist and Benediction. For those who would like to extend the Hour, the parish rosary group will pray the rosary at 6:30 PM.

Help Our Neighborhood Pantry
Our neighborhood pantry is in need of the following items: canned corn, canned fruit (any variety), rice 1 or 2 lb bags, canned tuna or canned chicken, Kraft macaroni & cheese. Items can be dropped off at the food pantry on Mondays & Thursdays between 2:30 and 5:00pm.
To receive food, "in person" shopping is Sundays 1:00 - 3:00pm & Tuesdays 11:00am - 1:00pm. There is also an Order Ahead program where you can pre-order online (go to orderahead.org and click on the IPC site). Drive thru and pick up the order on Thursdays from 5:00pm - 6:30pm.
The pantry is located at 29W260 Batavia Road (next door to Immanuel Presbyterian Church).

St. Irene Thanksgiving Baskets
We are collecting donations of $25 for Thanksgiving baskets for our Warrenville Neighborhood Pantry. Please place your donation in the envelopes located by the collection boxes and deposit in the collection box.
We will be collecting until November 16.

Christmas Decorations Collection
Do you have any Christmas decorations that you are not using anymore? Why not donate them to the Johnson Family Connection! Bring your decorations to the Church vestibule by November 16.

Christmas Card Collection for Companions Journeying Together Prison Ministry
The St. Irene Women of Faith will be collecting Christmas cards, November 8-16, that will be distributed to correctional facilities so prisoners can send cards to family and friends. Guidelines: unsigned cards, no glitter, no foil, no glue, no 3-D features nor cut-outs. Please place Christmas cards in the bin in the vestibule.

Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Hospitality
Do you have a birthday or anniversary in October? Come to any of our weekend Masses on November 15 - 16, to receive a blessing. Then join us for hospitality after Mass!

Handbell Choir
Ring out your thanks! Join our Handbell choir! Rehearsals, Mondays 6:15-7:15pm November 10, 17, and 24. Play at the 9:00am Mass on Thanksgiving and the 10:00am Mass on November 30.

Lay Carmelites
Who are the Lay Carmelites? Would you like to strengthen your friendship with Jesus? Deepen your relationship with Mary? Perhaps you are being called to be a Lay Carmelite. A Lay Carmelite community meets monthly at St. Irene Parish. Anyone who is interested in learning more can contact Debbie Andrle at 708-363-1753 or by email at debbie.andrle24@gmail.com. Little Flowers Girls Club
The Little Flowers Girls’ Club is a program whose goal is to provide young Catholic Girls, ages five and up, with an opportunity to gather and learn about their Catholic heritage, faith, and tradition. Next meeting is Monday, November 17 at 6:00pm in the Mobiles.

Knights of Columbus Cornhole Fun for Girls and Boys!
The St. Irene gym will be open Saturday, November 22 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm for all girls and boys ages 8 to 14 for playing cornhole. Several cornhole courts will be set up for open play. Parents/grandparents/guardians will need to complete an entry form, which will be available on site. If interest is sufficient, Saturday afternoons in the months ahead will be available as well with the possibility of an ending tournament.

St. Irene's Lunch Bunch Ministry will meet Thursday, December 4 at 11:30am in the ACL. Please join us for lunch and an activity. Look to the bulletin and Flock Notes for the theme of this month's luncheon.

Christmas Caroling Food Drive
Spread the joy of the season with the St. Irene community on Friday, December 12. We will be caroling through Warrenville neighborhoods and collecting food for the Neighborhood food pantry. Following this festive event, there will be cookies and hot cocoa.
Bring your family and friends to help fill the air with the joyous news of Christ's birth.

Lunch Bunch Ministry Help Wanted
We are looking for ministers to take turns to help
- coordinate/organize
- find speakers or entertainment
- setup (Wednesday afternoon before the lunch)
- bake desserts
- cleanup
The luncheons are scheduled the first Thursday of the months of September – May/June. Please find it in your hearts to minister to this wonderful group of our faith community.
