Welcome to St. Irene

Our Catholic Community of Faith

We, the members of the St. Irene Parish Family, are called to be a Catholic Community of Faith. As a Community, we gather together for worship, fellowship, and mutual support. United by baptism, we are called by God to carry out the Gospel mission of Jesus Christ, who came to serve, to challenge, and to teach. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called to preach, to teach and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus with our lives, in both our actions and our words, evangelizing in the name of Jesus.

Welcome Father Clive!

Fr. Clive Otieno is a priest of the Diocese of Joliet in Illinois having been ordained almost five years ago on May 2015 at St. Raymond Cathedral by Bishop Daniel Conlon. He was born in Nairobi, Kenya, where he grew up in a large family on the Eastland of Nairobi. Since ordination in 2015, he has worked as a parochial vicar (pastoral associate) at both St. Isidore Parish in Bloomingdale, IL and at St. Walter Church, in Roselle, where he is currently serving. He was recently appointed as a first time pastor of St. Irene, Warrenville and he is excited about his new  assignment and looks forward with hope in joining and sharing his life with his new community at St. Irene. May the Holy Spirit lead us to greater things!
