Little Flowers Girl's Club

Attention all girls ages five and up and their moms!

Pick up a rose, feel its soft petals, smell its wonderful fragrance, and admire its simple beauty.  Would you like to become a Little Flower like this? You surely can!

The Little Flowers Girls’ Club® is a program whose goal is to provide young Catholic girls, ages five and up, with an opportunity to gather and learn about their Catholic heritage, faith, and traditions. Together, the girls form a special community that builds friendships while learning what it means to be a Catholic girl.

The Little Flowers Girls’ Club® program consists of four “Wreaths” (Wreaths I, II, II, IV covered over four years). Each “Wreath” includes nine virtues. As an example, Wreath I includes the virtues of Faith, Hope, The Love of God, Love of Our Neighbor, Obedience, Piety, Humility, Industry, and Truthfulness.

Like a scouting program, girls earn badges for the virtues they have practiced and the life skills they have learned. What is unique is that the girls learn and earn their badges through a distinctly Catholic lens. The program relies on the stories of the saints, sacred Scripture, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

We anticipate meeting one evening a month on the third Monday beginning in February and ending in May. (In the future we will meet September through May.) Our meetings will take place at St. Irene, with a schedule to be determined. The cost of the program will be $35 which includes a Member Guide, Club Cross Patch, Blessed Mother Blue Sash, and set of ten badges that form a flower. In addition, we would reach out to each member to rotate snacks for meetings. Craft materials are graciously covered by the St. Irene Women of Faith Organization.
